Student Identification Card Policy
Each undergraduate and graduate student of the University of Notre Dame is issued a Student Identification (ID) Card. The Student ID card serves as proof of status with the University of Notre Dame and provides access to many resources provided by and available through the University community such as dining hall meals, bookstore charging, access to buildings and residence halls, use of the University libraries and athletic facilities, and a debit program for certain purchases.
Any transfer, alteration, falsification, or forgery of a Student ID card constitutes a violation of University policy and may result in a referral to the University Conduct Process. In addition, fraudulent or illegal use of the campus identification card may result in criminal charges and/or civil proceedings.
